Training Camp 2001 / Newton District Patrol Leader's Training Camp

This is the 25thn year
that we have organised this camp which is held from 9th
to 13th June. The campsite was at Swiss Cottage Primary
School. During PLTC, the Secondary 3s formed four different patrols
each consisting of six to eight members with two mentors who were
the ventures. Annually, this camp prepares the Secondary 3s to take
over the leadership roles and responsibilities from the current
Secondary 4s. Some of the learning and interesting activities
include Self-Reliance and Initiative Course (SRIC), Backwoodsman
Cooking (without utensils), orienteering (compass and map hiking),
various Patrol games organised by the four patrols and the delicious
Cooking Competition.
