with RGS Guides - Write-up

Annually, our unit
co-organises a joint activity with a guide company. On 22 April
2001, after several planning meetings with our sister Guides from
RGS company, we co-hosted the combined activity both at RGS and SJI
grounds. The guides and scouts were grouped into 10 patrols
consisting of 5 scouts and 4 guides each. They were tested on their
skills of First Aid, Pioneering, Foot-Drill, and initiative
response. Each Patrol had to go to 3 checkpoints at SJI and the
other 3 at RGS. The overall evaluation showed that it was an
enriching experience for both the scouts and guides and many
friendship were forged.
