A section of the St. Joseph's
Pelandok Scout Group, it comprises old boys of the scout unit studying in various
junior colleges and polytechnics ranging from 17 - 19 years of age.
We go through a wide range of activities, including camps, outdoor
survival skill trainings and many more. We generally operate as a
separate unit, working along the lines of the training scheme set
out by the Singapore Scout Association for ventures, and assist the scout unit only when help is
required. Occasionally, we also have group outings, to allow us to
interact and know one another better. We also frequently share our
experiences at meetings to help us plan for better future meetings.
Our meetings generally fall on Saturdays where we have meetings,
training sessions or outings. The unit comprises
of young leaders taking up positions as the Chairman, Vice-Chairman,
Treasurer, Secretary, Trainers, Quartermasters, and any other
required positions in the Executive Committee. Each member in the Venture unit has an
appointment and is responsible of helping out with the work of maintaining the operations of the
unit. Ad-hoc committees may also be set-up when required to specialise in
organising a particular activity, e.g. overseas expeditions and
trips. |
