Scouting began in 1907 with the experimental scouts camp with a group of boys on Brownsea Island. It has the aim of enriching the lives of the young and to mould them into leaders of the future, this is something that scouting is strong in.  It has a curriculum that covers a wide variety of subjects and topics, ensuring that no one is left out and encourages one to be proficient in more than one activity. Its activities and lessons are practical and encourage one to develop his character and build up his physique, thus providing an all-round growing environment.
